POLICE have said an investigation into the 'unexplained' death of a middle-aged Oxford woman is now a matter for a coroner.

Yesterday police confirmed that the woman in her 50s was found at a property in Little Bury, at around 7pm on Thursday, August 15.

They described the death as 'unexplained and non-suspicious.'

Asked about concerns raised by friends, Thames Valley Police spokesman David Marsh said: "It is being treated as non-suspicious and it is now a coroner’s investigation."

Police have not provided any further details.
