CLASSIC cars will be parked up in the city they were built in for another year running.

In a bid to celebrate Oxford's strong car roots to the automotive industry, and days on from the BMW Mini plant's birthday, vintage cars will swing open their doors to interested visitors at Cowley's shopping centre – just down the road from the plant they were assembled at.

The free show at Templars Square will get motoring enthusiasts revved up for one week only – with cars lining up from Sunday, August 18 until August 24.

Next Tuesday, August 20, a special guest from the British Motor Museum will share memories from the car museum's archive.
