YOU'VE heard of a staycation, but this is one better – now you can spend the day at the beach without ever leaving landlocked Oxfordshire.
Notcutts garden centre at Nuneham Courtney, just outside Oxford, has created the sandy beach for the summer and it is open every day, 11am to 5pm.
The attraction also has a funfair provided by Hatwell Brothers with unlimited children’s rides for £5 per session, before ice creams and refreshments at the restaurant.
Graham Appleby of Notcutts, pictured above with Perrin Hatwell, said: "Bring your bucket and spade and join in the fun."
The beach runs until August 31.
