STARGAZERS witnessed a partial lunar eclipse over Oxfordshire last night.
Oxford Mail Camera Club Members took a selection of shots of the event, which was seen nationwide.

The height of the eclipse was seen at around 10.30pm, on the 50th anniversary of the Moon landings.
Eclipses happen when the Earth moves between the Sun and Moon - making a shadow on the latter's surface.
The eclipse was clearly seen across the county, thanks in large part to limited cloud cover. Lunar enthusiasts were less lucky in January, when a total eclipse, known as a 'super blood wolf moon', occurred.
Andy Beesley sent in this photo of the moon taken on his mobile, with the International Space Station above and Saturn to the right.

The next partial eclipse is expected in November 2021.
