A SCHOOL near Wantage has been given a cash boost to help restock its library.
Regional housebuilder Persimmon Homes donated £1,000 to Grove CE Primary School, through its Community Champions scheme.
Jo Nation, from the school's Parent Teacher Association, said: “Grove Primary is a small school and unfortunately we struggle for funds, so fundraising and donations like this are so important to us. It’s great to see a large company supporting local causes.
“It’s important to keep resources and reading material up-to-date, we want to provide an engaging environment for students to enjoy reading and learn.”
Pauline Fletcher, sales director from Persimmon Homes Wessex, added: “We strongly believe in supporting the communities where we build, and we are delighted to be able to help a local primary school in this way.
“We hope lots of pupils will benefit from these resources for years to come.”
