A WOMAN has been arrested after a video was shared online alleging to show a couple performing sex acts in an Oxfordshire park.

National tabloid The Sun published the footage on its website last night, reportedly of a pair romping in Pingle Field in Bicester.

The newspaper said this happened on Thursday but Thames Valley Police, which is investigating 'outraging public decency,' said it understands the video was filmed on Saturday [May 11].

The force shared an appeal earlier and has now confirmed that a 30-year-old woman from Bicester has been was arrested this afternoon in connection with the investigation.

The force told the Oxford Mail she has been arrested on suspicion of outraging public decency, and suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

According to The Sun, which censored the video, the woman in the footage performed a sex act on her partner.

He can then be seeen pushing her away before clambering on top of her.

The display happened during daylight hours before stunned onlookers, and the graveyard that leads to St Edburg's Church can be seen in the background.

At one point a man with a pram walks past the pair in the field, which is opposite Bicester Village, but the couple continue.

Residents shared the article on a public Bicester page on Facebook last night, and one commenter branded the act 'unbelievable.'

Another said: "My sister and I also caught a couple doing this on the field behind the leisure centre last Friday around 5.30pm.

"I went over and had a go at them and told them to clear off as we had children with us."

This afternoon police confirmed they are investigating the Pingle Field incident and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The force is trying to trace the source of the video and officers now want anyone who knows where the film came from, or anyone who witnessed the incident, to contact police.

It is understood the offence took place on May 11 during the day, but it is currently unclear at what time.

"We would also like to speak to the person who filmed the incident to assist with this investigation.

"Incidents of this nature are rare but we would like to remind and encourage anyone who witnesses incidents of this nature to report it to the police."
