AN AUDI driver was caught speeding at more than 100mph on the M40 and given just six points on his licence.
Geoff Barry, 50, was caught driving an Audi R8 sports car at a speed of 109mph by a police speed camera on November 24.
The driver, from Overdale Road in London, was fined £781, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a surcharge of £78 at Reading Magistrates’ Court on March 26.
He was not required to appear at the court for the hearing as the case was dealt with via the single justice procedure – where those charges with minor criminal offences are sent a notice outlining the crime.
In response to the notice, Mr Barry pleaded guilty to speeding on the stretch near junction 2 for Beaconsfield.
His driving record was also endorsed with six points.
