A MAN accused of beating a Labrador puppy to death and assaulting a woman in Oxford last Wednesday is due to appear in court.
It happened in Saunders Road, in Oxford, and the puppy later died.

A 25-year-old woman was also assaulted.
Callum Gerken, 27, of Stanton Road, Forest Hill, Oxford, was charged last Friday with one count of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal, one count of assault by beating and one count of conveying a threatening message.

Mr Gerken is in custody and will appear at Oxford Magistrates' Court on Friday, April 12.
