A NEW project to get people active to help their mental health is looking for volunteers.

Run by the Oxfordshire Mental Health Partnership, Walking for Wellbeing will aim to engage inactive people with enduring mental health conditions from areas such as Littlemore, Barton, Blackbird Leys, Northfield Brook and Banbury.

The partnership is now hoping to recruit a team of volunteers to become Wellbeing Walk Leaders.

Volunteers will receive full training to lead short, group walks once a week and to provide support to service users.

The project was awarded £81,000 worth of funding form Sport England last year.
