10. Stalker 'terrorised' woman after being released under investigation twice

Oxford Crown Court heard how 30-year-old David Russell subjected a woman to ‘psychological torture’ over three weeks last year.

Sentencing Russell to three years in prison, Judge Peter Ross said he could not comprehend the decision to release him twice under investigation after the offences were reported.

9. Carer stole thousands from 90-year-old client

Christian Whitton was also up in court this week. The 45-year-old had admitted withdrawing large amount of cash from the bank accounts of the 90-year-old woman he was meant to be looking after.

Christian Whitton walked away from court with a suspended sentence

But Whitton walked away with a suspended sentence after claiming he had caring responsibilities towards his family.

8. Abingdon motorcyclist died in head-on crash with Heyfordian coach

An inquest heard how motorcyclist Sarah Spencer, from Abingdon died after losing control of her Harley Davidson on a roundabout and crashing head-on into a bus.

7. Calls for change to new A40 roundabout after crashes

A 'funny shaped' roundabout may have caused up to 16 crashes since it opened last August.

Speeding was also thought to have been an issue on the A40 junction west of Witney.

6. Horror crash on M40 slip road

Four cars piled into eachother on the sliproad of the motorway with the force of the impact enough to push one car beneath another, lifting it up in the air.

Under-fire boss Karl Robinson was adamant he is the best man to get Oxford United out of trouble.

Defeats to Accrington Stanley and Peterborough United halted the side’s tentative recovery and returned them to the Sky Bet League One drop zone.

1. Oxford United hit by winding-up petition from landlords Firoka​

The club was hit with another winding up petition, this time by stadium owners Firoka which is seeking £240,000.
