THE public are being asked to give their views on the decision to stop offering vasectomies on the NHS in Oxfordshire.
The move to suspend NHS referrals was made by Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) in August 2018, when provider, British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS), revealed it had exceeded capacity.
However, the current contract with BPAS has been extended until the end of March to allow patients on the waiting list to be treated.

An anonymous survey has now been launched by the CCG to help decide whether to decommission the NHS vasectomy service all together or to introduce criteria on those who can have one.
