A MAN has suffered a serious brain injury after being knocked unconscious in an attack outside a town centre pub.

Police say the 40-year-old victim had been speaking to a group of men outside The Exchange Wetherspoons pub in High Street, Banbury, at 5.05pm on December 4, before he was punched in the head by an unknown attacker.

He fell to the ground where he hit his head and was knocked unconscious.

The man was then taken to hospital with serious head injuries, including a bleed to the brain, and remains in hospital.

Police have today released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

“If you witnessed the assault or have any details which could assist police please make contact with us.”
