TRAIN lines were temporarily closed after reports of a vehicle crashing into a level crossing near Kidlington.
A Network Rail engineer was called to the crossing on Sandy Lane, Yarnton, at 11.30am today, but found no evidence of the incident.
Lines were closed at 11.29am, but reopened at 11.32am after the engineer had visited the scene.
CrossCountry trains tweeted its services in both directions were subject to delays and alterations.
DISRUPTION: Following a road vehicle colliding with level crossing barriers between #Oxford and #Banbury, lines have now opened but services in both directions are subject to delay and short-notice alteration.
