THERE were heavy delays on the A34 in both directions this morning following two separate crashes.
A lane southbound between Peartree Interchange and Botley Interchange was closed from around 7am until 9am.
Traffic at one point stretched back for nine miles due to the southbound accident, with delays of more than an hour.
The crash involved two lorries just before 7am.
Northbound was partially blocked due to another crash involving two lorries between the Islip turn off and Peartree Interchange.
This also reopened just before 9am following the crash at 7.15am.
A spokeswoman for South Central Ambulance Service said they had no record of attending the southbound crash but confirmed an ambulance did attend the northbound incident.
She said all involved had been assessed at the scene and did not require hospital treatment.
