THE holidays are coming but they won't be stopping in Oxford this year as the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck will once again miss the city on its nationwide tour.

People will be forced to travel to Borehamwood or Watford, both in Hertfordshire, if they want to be part of the festive fun, with no stops at all in Oxfordshire.

Fast becoming a modern yuletide tradition, the red truck visits different places throughout Great Britain each November and December.

The 2018 tour, which was revealed today, will kick off in Glasgow on Friday and visit 24 locations, before making its final stop in London on December 16.

The famous vehicle is a regular fixture in television adverts during the Christmas period and is now seen by many as the official start of the festive season.

This year is the eighth year in a row that it has toured Britain.
