A BOY attacked by a gang in Oxford was taken to hospital because of his injuries earlier this week.
The 16-year-old was approached by four males and was assaulted near the towpath in Baltic Wharf between 11.20pm and 11.30pm on Monday.
The boy suffered cuts and bruising to his arms and one of his legs. He has since been discharged from hospital.
Police said they have no description of the four offenders.
DC Nicola Clark said: "This assault resulted in a 16-year-old boy sustaining injuries which required hospital treatment.
"I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident, or who has any information which they think could help our investigation.
"If you have any details which you think could be relevant, please call the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number on 101."
