FLOOD alerts have been issued across Oxford in response to recent and anticipated rainfall.
Flooding of low lying land and roads is expected over coming days, especially along the Thames from Kings Lock and Godstow Lock.
The River Cherwell is expected to be affected from Lower Heywood down to and including Oxford and along the River Ock. That is expected to affect the area between Stanford Vale and Charney Bassett.
Other areas are expected to be the River Ray and its tributaries from Shipton Lee to and including Islip; the River Evenlode from Moreton-in-Marsh to Cassington and also the River Glyme from Wootton and Woodstock.
The Environment Agency issued the 'be prepared' warnings late this morning.
