HANBOROUGH boo-ked their place in the final of the Oxfordshire Charity Cup as they hammered Heyford Athletic 5-1 in Saturday’s semi-final, writes Anthony Barlow.

Jack Morton led the way with a brace, with Dan Haggie, Craig Johnson and Kris Clark getting the others.

The win sets up a mouth-watering final against local rivals and former Witney & District FA side Freeland in the new year.

Meanwhile, Aston reached the semi-finals of the Fred Ford Cup after a 3-1 victory over Tower Hill.

Ryan Lewis, Ryan Colleton and Jamie Kennedy scored their goals, with James Scott replying.

In the league, Charlbury Town suffered only their second Premier Division defeat of the season as visitors Minster Lovell claimed a 4-3 victory.

Sam Wright netted twice for Minster, with Pete Barnicoat and Nick Rose also on target.

Charlbury hit back through Warwick Tompkins, Craig McCallum and Mark Fitzgerald.

Division 2 leaders Kingham All Blacks put on a sparking display to beatSpartan Rangers Res 7-1.

They will go into the new year four points ahead, courtesy of doubles from Dom Hemmings, Chris Mills and Ryan Barrass.

Sam Philpott also scored, while Matt Townsend netted for Spartan.

Moreton Rangers came away from Witney Wanderers with a 3-1 win as Ben Burdoch, Mark Boydell and Javan Nurse hit the target.

The hosts hit back through Josh Walkington.

Bletchingdon edged out Bourton Rovers 3-2.

Todd Parker-Hunt, Richard Wells and Joe Goodgame struck for the hosts, with Lee Mosson and Andrew Herbert replying.

In Division 3, FC Hollybush Res brushed aside FC Mills 7-3.

Steve Holder’s hat-trick, plus strikes from Chris Hirons (2), Richard Williams and Danny Brearley gave Hollybush the points.

James Rogers, Ben Powell and Cody Davies netted for the hosts.

Carterton Town B moved up to second in Division 4 with a 4-1 win over Bampton United Res.

Dave Wanless and Danny Haining each scored doubles, with Conor O’Shea pulling one back.
