NICO Hulkenberg has pressed the reset button ahead of this weekend’s Brazilian Grand Prix.

The Enstone-based Renault team endured a double retirement in Mexico a fortnight ago due to safety and mechanical issues.

But Hulkenberg heads to Interlagos in good spirits after a number of strong results in Sao Paulo in the past.

He said: “I have a decent record there and I will be pushing to make sure I continue that.

“Mexico was a good weekend, sadly without a happy ending.

“We qualified well, and I got a good start in the race to be running in fourth.

“Sadly, that wasn’t to last and it was an early bath for me.

“We missed out on some points, which is always disappointing, but we’ll start over again.”

Meanwhile, Chipping Norton driver Sean Walkinshaw is eyeing a podium at Motegi to end the Super GT season on a high.

He and Autobacs Racing Team Aguri teammate Shinichi Takagi still have a slim chance of the GT300 title.

Walkinshaw said: “It’d be fantastic to end the season back on the podium there.

“I know Shinichi-san and I can still win the championship, but it is a tall order and we know it’ll take some good luck for us and misfortune for others.

“We’ll be going all out as we always do though.”
