THE Ride a Cock Horse Folk Club in Banbury is planning a romantic meeting on February 14.

The Valentine's Day session is described by club organisers Derek and Mary Droscher as "a good night for love".

It will feature an evening of contemporary songs sung by local singers, The Tindall Family. Mr Droscher said: "This event went down an absolute storm last year so we have asked the Tindalls to do it again.

"Paula and Stuart have moved to this area from Cheshire where they had built up quite a following in clubs and at festivals.

"Paula's rich vocals accompanied by Stuart's sensitive guitar playing and harmonies have thrilled our members every time they have done floor spots.

"They also have two talented daughters, Sarah and Kathryn, who sing harmonies and play bass guitar, rhythm guitar, and various wind instruments "We decorate the club room with love hearts and have raffle prizes to continue the theme - and it will be a great place for a marriage proposal."

The club meets every Wednesday in The Millers Bar at The Mill, Banbury. Music begins at 8pm, and members and non-members are welcome.
