NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the orders is to extend the 30mph speed limit on the B4020 Shilton Road out of Carterton by 150 metres, and continue with a 40mph speed limit from that point to meet the existing 40 limit at Shilton Dip. This section of road is currently unrestricted (60mph).

Proposals were consulted on previously in 2015 and 2017 re. the 30mph speed limit and are being renewed due to the statutory 2 year time period for implementation having expired. The Oxfordshire County Council (Shilton Parish) (Speed Limits) Order 2001 & the Oxfordshire County Council (Carteron) (Speed Limits) Order 2017 will be revoked/replaced as necessary Documents giving more details of the proposals are available for public inspection online by visiting:

Objections to the proposals and other representations specifying the grounds on which they are made may be sent in writing to the address below by the 3 July 2020. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.
