CHERWELL DISTRICT COUNCIL NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 BICESTER FOOTPATH NO.7 (PART) DIVERSION ORDER 2019
On 26 February 2020, Cherwell District Council confirmed the above Order, made on 1August 2019, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the section of Bicester Footpath No.7 which runs for approximately 447m and commences at National Grid Reference (NGR) SP 5685 2208 (point A on the order map), to NGR SP 5641 2205 (point C on the order map) and create an alternative footpath on to a line which runs for approximately
494mandcommencesatNGRSP5685 2208(pointAonthe order map), to NGR SP 5641 2205 (point C on the order
map), where it re-joins on to the existing line of Bicester Footpath No.7 as indicated on the Order map. Full site descriptions of the existing and alternative footpaths are shown on the schedule of the Order. Copies of the confirmed Order and Map have been deposited and may be seen free of charge at the main reception, Cherwell District Council, Bodicote House, Bodicote and Franklins House, Wesley Lane, Bicester from 9am to 4pm (weekdays). Copies of the Order and map are available for purchase at a cost of 50 pence. Alternatively, an electronic copy is available and can be e-mailed upon written request to prow@ cherwell-dc.gov.uk.Thereisnochargeforane-mailedversion. This Order comes into force as from 26 February 2020, but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of theAct, as amended, or of any regulation made under theAct has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may,underparagraph2ofSchedule2totheActasappliedby paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from Friday 6 March 2020, make an application to the High Court.
