CHERWELL DISTRICT COUNCIL PUBLIC NOTICE MID-CHERWELL NEIGHBOURHOOD DEVELOPMENT PLAN DECISION STATEMENT May 2019 Section 38A of The Planning & Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 (as amended) The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended) (Please note this is not a consultation) As a result of a referendum in favour of the Mid-Cherwell Neighbourhood Plan held on 21 March 2019, Cherwell District Council has'made'the Mid-Cherwell Neighbourhood Development Plan.

The Mid-Cherwell Neighbourhood Plan was examined by an Independent Examiner who in his report of 2 January 2019 concluded that subject to modifications the Plan met the required 'Basic Conditions' and should proceed to a referendum.

On 1 February 2019, the Council's Lead Member for Planning considered the Examiner s report and the Neighbourhood Planincorporating theExaminer smodificationsandresolved that the Neighbourhood Plan proceed to referendum. The referendum was held in various locations in the Mid-Cherwell Neighbourhood Plan area where more than 50% of those who voted were in favour of the Plan being used to help decide planning applications.

Cherwell District Council considers that the Plan does not breach, nor is incompatible with, any European Union or human rights obligations.

This decision statement confirms that at the Council meeting on 14 May 2019 Cherwell District Council resolved that the Mid-Cherwell Neighbourhood Plan be 'made . This decision statement, the Plan, and details of where they can be inspected, can be viewed on the Council's website:
