CHINNOR’S title credentials received a boost this week with the signing of hooker Koree Britton from London Welsh, writes MICHAEL KNOX

The 24-year-old is one of a number of players leaving the troubled Exiles, who have announced they are going into voluntary liquidation.

Britton, who played for Gloucester before joining Welsh, is named on the Chinnor bench for tomorrow’s National League 2 trip to Taunton Titans.

“Getting Koree Britton is a ridiculously good signing for us,” said director of rugby Matt Williams.

The leaders, who have lost their last two away games, will be without skipper Danny Burns, who was sent off in last week’s 57-10 win at home to Worthing.

Junior Fatialofa comes in at centre, while CJ Osazuwa returns to a reshuffled back row as Richard Thorpe is out with a knee injury and Gus Jones is unavailable.

Louis Flynn, who came on as a replacement and scored a late winning try last week, cannot even get a place on the Henley Hawks bench at Barnstaple.

Hawks, who scrambled an important 25-24 win over London Irish Wild Geese, make a host of changes.

In the pack, only three players will start in the same positions.

Prop Zaki Chamnaoui comes in as Barnaby Abdale-Weir suffered concussion against Wild Geese.

Tom Hall switches sides in the back row with David Hyde moving from lock. The second row will be Jake Albon and Dave Clements, who steps up from the benchnt.

There are changes at half-back with James Steventon-Wright moving from full back to his familiar scrum-half role, in place of George Jackson who has hamstring trouble. Joe Butler returns at fly half, with James Comben reverting to full back.

Xavier Andre makes a welcome return on the wing after a prolonged injury.

Oxford Harlequins make five changes, one of them positional, for the trip to Old Centralians in South West 1 East.

Following their heavy 44-21 defeat at home to Newbury Blues, Chris Davies comes in at hooker, Michael Ojo returns to lock and Gus Milton to flanker.

Guy Fairburn switches to fly half with Huw Dimond coming in at centre.

Witney who suffered a disappointing defeat to Windsor last week, travel to take on leaders Old Patesians.

Banbury will be looking for their fifth successive win when they entertain Windsor, while Grove are at home to Royal Wootton Bassett.
