OXFORD University’s final warm-up game before the Varsity Match ended in a 24-10 defeat at home to Richmond Vikings.
The Dark Blues face Cambridge University at Twickenham on December 8, bidding for a seventh successive victory.
But they suffered a sixth defeat in seven games at Iffley Road on Sunday.
Prop Hugo Lu scored the students’ only try of the game, with Tom Dyer converting and kicking two penalties.
However, the Dark Blues have already struck an early blow in the Varsity Series, with the Oxford Colleges XV beating Cambridge Lions 17-8.
Jordan Ayling converted his own try, with Oakley Cox and James Baker also crossing.
Oxford University Greyhounds travel to Grange Road tomorrow to take on Cambridge’s LX Club.
