A MUCH-CHANGED Wheatley side beat Aldermaston 32-7 in the BB&O Championship.

Already with an untested back line, the visitors lost Joe Hobdel and Jack Atkinson to illness.

But it did not prove problematic as they led 15-0, thanks to tries from Josh Hillsdon and Iain Downer, as well as a Gav Stanton penalty.

Aldermaston got off the mark with a converted score, but Wheatley upped the tempo in the second half.

Craig Buddle dotted down, while Oliver Kenworthy crossed twice. Stanton converted two of the tries.

Harwell returned to winning ways with a 33-12 victory at Faringdon.

Lewis Giddings (2), Richard Gregory (2) and Dave Paton crossed for the visitors, with Andy Lee kicking four conversions.

Oxford lost 36-22 at Berkshire Shire Hall.

They trailed 24-3, with only a Nemani Rayabo penalty to their credit.

In the second half, Will Boyes, Myles Everrett and Rayabo crossed for Oxford, but it was not enough.

Littlemore beat Chipping Norton 13-10.

In the Premier, two tries from Jamie Cummings helped Abingdon to a 34-17 win over Risborough.

Paul Watts and Lewis Stacey, who kicked 14 points, also went over.

Didcot lost 12-10 at Tadley.
