CHINNOR confirmed their National League 2 South status with a 36-0 win at Barnes.

The victory lifted Matt Williams’s side up to tenth, 12 points clear of the relegation zone with three games to go.

Sam Angell converted his own try, before Henry Lamont crossed to make it 12-0.

Marcus Beer then went over, with Angell adding the extras.

After the break, Kieran Goss ran unopposed to the line for the bonus point and Angell made no mistake with the conversion to make it 26-0.

The visitors then put together the move of the match for Lamont to score.

Barnes’s frustration led to a fracas in which Chinnor’s Jonathan Phipps was sent off after retaliating.

Despite being down to 14, they finished in style with Oscar Heath crashing over.

Henley will join Chinnor in the fourth tier after losing 52-7 at Esher.

Their relegation from National League 1 has been confirmed as they are 21 points adrift of safety with three games remaining.

Tries from Andrew Garner and Joe Brown, as well as a penalty try, gave the hosts a 19-0 lead after 20 minutes.

Paul Roberts converted twice.

Iwan Davies was rewarded for his efforts when he crossed for Henley. James Comben added the extras.

But it was 33-7 at the break after Harrison Collins and Thomas James went over, with Roberts converting both.

Henley enjoyed possession in the second half, but Esher extended their lead.

James, Andy Wright and Roberts dived over.

Fly-half Roberts twice added the extras.
