PETER Tarrega crossed twice and Tom Miles kicked 18 points as Bicester beat Marlow 38-15 in Southern Counties North.

Two Miles penalties gave the hosts a 6-0 lead, before Tarrega ran in from 35 metres.

Miles converted to make it 13-0 after 14 minutes.

Marlow got up and running through William Fulton’s penalty.

After Miles replied with the boot for Bicester, Matthew Saunders crossed.

Another Miles penalty extended the hosts’ lead and Tarrega plunged over.

Miles converted to make it 26-8 at half-time.

Peter Lewis touched down for Marlow and Fulton added the extras, before Bicester countered and Francois Weise crossed with Miles converting.

George Upton then crossed for the home side’s fourth try.

Meanwhile, Wallingford lost 33-0 at home to Buckingham.

In Midlands 2 West (South), captain Ed Phillips starred as leaders Banbury recorded a 28-15 victory over Malvern.

For the first time this season, Bulls went into half-time scoreless at 8-0 down.

And they also lost Matt Goode to injury after the centre suffered a broken arm.

Phillips began the second half by converting his own try, before repeating that feat to make it 14-8.

Manu Paniagua dotted down and Phillips added the extras as Bulls raced to 21-8.

Malvern moved to within a score of victory with a converted try.

However, a quickly taken penalty from Phillips led to Ian Isham going over.

Phillips converted with the last kick of the game.
