OXFORDSHIRE’S Gus Jones and Henry Purdy will be eyeing more silverware for England Under 20s after helping them reach the IRB Junior World Championship final.
England will face South Africa on Friday at Eden Park, Auckland, New Zealand (8.35am) having overcome Ireland 42-15 in their semi-final.
Flanker Jones, from, Oxford, scored England’s final try at North Harbour Stadium in Auckland, while wing/centre Purdy, from Milton-under-Wychwood, came off the bench in the second half.
Oxford University student Jones (Wasps) also topped the tackle count with 17 of England’s 199 hits.
Defending champions England have now made three of the last four finals, with Purdy (Leicester) among those who tasted success in 2013.
