OXFORD United will be well backed by a large travelling army for the trip to Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.

As of yesterday afternoon, more than 1,450 tickets had been sold – which should make it tough for the hosts to fulfil their pre-match appeal for Chairboys fans to silence their “noisy neighbours”.

Several hundred seats are still available, so the final figure could exceed the 1,833 they took to Adams Park last season to watch United’s 3-1 victory.

The Skybet League Two derby is not all-ticket, but United are advising supporters to buy in advance, when tickets are £2 cheaper than on the day.

Elsewhere, tickets have gone on sale for United’s FA Cup replay against Charlton next week.

The third-round tie at the Kassam Stadium has been confirmed for next Tuesday, with prices set at their normal rate for league games.

The replay means United’s FA Youth Cup tie against Cardiff, due to be played at the Kassam on the same night, has been switched to Didcot Town on Wednesday, January 22 (7pm).

Meanwhile, United’s league game at Bury, postponed due to FA Cup commitments earlier this month, has been rearranged for Tuesday, February 4.
