LEYTON Orient have joined Oxford United in the Southern Section semi-finals of the Johnstone’s Paint Troahy after winning 3-0 at Northampton Town on Wednesday night.

The npower League One side go into Saturday morning’s draw on Sky TV’s Soccer AM alongside Oxford, Yeovil and Southend.

The semi-finals are played over one leg, while the final is two-legged for the right to meet the Northern Section winners.

Bradford City, Crewe, Coventry and either Bury or Preston will contest the northern quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, United are still waiting to hear the results of scans on their two players stretchered off at Accrington last Saturday.

Andy Whing and Jon-Paul Pittman suffered injuries which threaten to sideline them for the rest of the season.
