Alfie Potter is expected to start as Oxford United continue their US tour against Seacoast United Phantoms tonight.
A sore hamstring kept the winger out of Tuesday’s 2-1 win against Seacoast United Mariners and the 1-1 draw at Didcot Town last Friday.
Deane Smalley, who has scored in all three of United’s pre-season friendlies, is likely to make way in the only change for the game at Portsmouth High School (kick-off 12 midnight UK time).
It means all three triallists – Alex Evans, Ryan Tafazoli and Courtney Harris – are on the bench for the second successive game.
Jon-Paul Pittman (hamstring) is closing in on a return, but is not yet ready to be included in the squad. The Phantoms should provide the stiffest test in the U’s three games on tour and claimed a 1-1 draw when the sides met 12 months ago.
Oxford Utd: probable line-up (4-3-3): Clarke, Batt, Raynes, Wright, Capaldi, Heslop, Cox, Forster-Caskey, Rigg, Constable, Potter. Substitutes: Brown, Smalley, Harris, Tafazoli, Craddock, Evans.
l There will be regular updates of the game, which kicks off at midnight UK time, on www.oxfordmail.co.uk and our dedicated twitter feed @oxfordmailoufc
