OXFORD United have had a bid for Liam Lindsay accepted by Partick Thistle, the Oxford Mail understands.
A link emerged a week ago and after an initial move was knocked back.
While neither club has confirmed the news, a second offer in the region of £350,000 has been agreed.
A variety of add-ons are also thought to be involved, increasing the fee if Lindsay performs well.
Personal terms are yet to be reached for the highly-rated 21-year-old, who is a left-sided centre half.
But he is thought to be holding talks with the U's today, with the deal set to be finalised early next week if all goes to plan.
Charlton Athletic and Bolton Wanderers have also been linked this summer, while Leeds United were interested in January.
