THE final Oxford United tickets for their Emirates FA Cup tie with Newcastle United have sold out.

Demand for the fourth round clash on January 28 was high even before Rafa Benitez’s side won their replay with Birmingham City on Wednesday night.

The final batch of tickets, those not taken up by season ticket holders, became available at 6pm last night, with the final few being snapped-up this morning.

With Newcastle United taking up their full 1,800-allocation, it means a third five-figure crowd of the season at the Kassam Stadium, following league games with Swindon Town and Northampton Town.

Marvin Johnson admitted he would love to get the chance to play at St James’ Park, but the prospect of a packed Kassam Stadium excites the United winger.

He said: “It will be a great game.

“Most of the lads would have probably preferred it to be away, but we’re very good at home, so we’ll back ourselves to do well.”
