HORSPATH 2nd stay top after beating Buckingham Town 2nd in straightforward fashion.

Mark Skelton took 5-32 as Town tumbled to 146 all out, with only Callum Cater (36) hanging around for long.

Jehan Mohammed then hit 50 in Horspath’s 148-6, which meant Harry Martin’s 3-14 was in vain.

Matthew Busby took 4-18 as Hanborough dismissed Leighton Buzzard Town 2nd for only 99 in a crunch match at the foot of the table.

Earlier the home side had posted 164-9 thanks to Tim Adair (47no) and Jonathan Sadler (31), while Adam Culley claimed 5-42 for Town, who are now deep in trouble.

Great & Little Tew 2nd stay in the promotion picture after hammering Oxford 3rd.

Callum Biel’s 91 was the stand-out performance for Oxford, but otherwise it was all Tew.

Lloyd Brock bagged 5-27 as the home side were all out for 161, then Robbie Catling (51), 13-year-old Jordan Garrett (51no) and Rob Garrett (30no) took Tew to 165-2 in 32 overs.

Dave Ackland hit 46 in Cumnor 2nd’s 195 all out at Wallingford, for whom Warren Ainsworth took 3-36 and Ben Denton 3-44.

Steve Slade then claimed 3-47 as Cumnor threatened a surprise, but Mark Carey (35) and Denton (61no) were good enough to take the hosts to 199-7.

Pip Webb smashed 144 not out to set up Cublington’s massive 201-run win at home to Stokenchurch, and so all but ended their opponents’ promotion chances.

The hosts declared on 321-4 from 49 overs thanks to Webb and Daniel Catt, who hit 116.

Greg Jenkins then took 5-20 as the visitors fell for 120 despite Paul Maddock’s 59.
