Banbury United boss Ady Fuller is hoping to call on the services of former striker Howard Forinton when they travel to Leamington in the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division tonight.

Four straight losses have seen the Puritans slip to within two points of the drop zone.

And Fuller said he was hoping that Daventry would forego the seven-day rule to allow Forinton to play.

“We have a very young side and Howard would bring a lot of experience,” said Fuller.

“We’re hoping Daventry will do us a favour and release him in time, but I’m not holding out much hope.”

Fuller, who is without the suspended Josh Blake added: “We are in a relegation dogfight.”

Didcot Town manager Dave Mudge has praised his side for their display against Division 1 South & West leaders Bideford and called for more of the same at North Leigh.

Although the Railwaymen lost 2-1, Mudge said: “They (Bideford) were 23 games unbeaten and when they said that we are one of the best sides they have played against this season, we take that as a compliment.”
