THAME United climbed back into the top half of the Evo-Stik South League West Division table with a terrific 4-0 victory at Kempston Rovers.

After two successive postponements, United were quickly out of the blocks as Dan West put them ahead in the second minute.

The visitors had to weather heavy pressure which saw Kempston hit the crossbar, before making the game safe after the break.

Skipper Ellis Hercules headed in West’s free-kick seven minutes after the restart.

Harry Mepham added a third before the hour mark and substitute Jamie Essex completed the scoring on 77 minutes.

It was Thame’s second successive 4-0 win, taking them up to 11th position.

Leam Howards bagged a double hat-trick as Banbury United demolished Oxford City Nomads 9-0 in the Oxfordshire Senior Cup.

He scored four goals in the space of 12 minutes late on as the visitors ran riot at Court Place Farm.

Tom Bradbury, Ricky Johnson and Luke Carnell also found the net to set up a quarter-final against Easington Sports.
