A SUPERB second-half display saw in-form Banbury United book their place in the second qualifying round with a 4-2 win over Tiverton Town.

The Puritans, who have a 100 per cent record in the Evo-Stik South Premier, trailed 1-0 at half-time in the Emirates FA Cup.

But Jefferson Louis, Darren Pond, Ravi Shamsi and Conor McDonagh struck after the break to secure the home side’s place in today’s draw.

Puritans keeper Jack Harding twice denied Levi Landricombe early on.

Banbury went close when Tom Winters’s corner was met by Luke Carnell, who saw a header cleared off the line.

But Tiverton opened the scoring on the half-hour mark, when Martin Rice’s goal-kick found Landricombe, who fired in from 20 yards.

Mike Ford’s side went onto dominate after the break.

Louis equalised with a header on 64 minutes, before Pond struck through a crowded area to make it 2-1.

Shamsi added a third, collecting the ball on half-way, before firing home from the edge of the box.

Landricombe pulled a goal back, but McDonagh made the game safe for Banbury, heading home a Sam Humphreys corner on 86 minutes.

West Division side Kidlington join them in the draw after beating St Margaretsbury 6-1 away from home.

Anaclet Odhiambo scored a hat-trick as the Oxfordshire side made light work of the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division outfit.

The tie was delayed by an hour-and-a-half after the officials were held up by an accident in London.

Kidlington did not take long to open up a 2-0 lead as Lewis Coyle found the net, before Odhiambo fired home on 14 minutes.

Mark Bell smashed in a third on 17 minutes and the tie was over after half-an-hour.

Odhiambo scored his second and it was 5-0 when Ben Willoughby turned in Tommy Castle’s cross.

The hosts netted before the break through Jordan McKenzie’s header.

Mark Brown, Odhiambo and Darius Brown all had goals disallowed.

But it was 6-1 on 53 minutes when Odhiambo completed his hat-trick.

Kidlington’s Elliott Osborne-Ricketts was sent off on 77 minutes after reacting to a bad challenge, but the Greens comfortably saw out victory.

Didcot Town’s run came to an end in a 5-0 defeat to Bostik Premier Division side Billericay Town in front of the BBC cameras.

Billy Bricknell was denied by Railwaymen keeper Leigh Bedwell early on, before Rob Swaine headed against the bar.

Didcot responded and Sam Elkins tested home stopper Alan Julian from 25 yards.

The chances kept coming for Billericay, though, as Bedwell pulled off a string of saves and Bricknell wasted two glorious chances.

Didcot could have opened the scoring, but George Reid hit a post in the match streamed on the BBC website.

However, they conceded on 39 minutes when Jake Robinson scored.

Didcot’s keeper was far the busier after the break and Billericay saw a shot hacked off the line.

But they scored again as Robinson tapped in and it was 3-0 when Ricky Modeste scored from close range.

Billericay added a fourth, Robinson completing his hat-trick with a fine chip, before Cameron McNeil committed a foul in the area and Adam Cunnington made it 5-0 from the spot.

Sam Mattock scored an injury-time equaliser as North Leigh drew 2-2 with Evo-Stik South Premier side Biggleswade Town.

George Seacole went close for the Millers, before they took lead.

Josh Thomas found Connor Waldon, who beat keeper Liam Gooch at his near post on 14 minutes.

Jack Bowen equalised seven minutes later, though, coolly beating Oxford United loanee Manny Agboola.

And they led 2-1 at the break when Robbie Parker was first to Elliott Keightley’s back-header and lobbed the ball into an unguarded net.

Michael Hopkins and Thomas were denied for the Millers.

But they earned a replay tomorrow, when Mattock scrambled home from close range after Ryan Paddock had connected with an injury-time corner.

East Division side Thame Town lost 4-3 at Spartan South Midlands League outfit Baldock Town yesterday.

Lewis Barker put the hosts in front, before Dan West equalised on 30 minutes.

Harry Holland then netted twice to make it 3-1 to Baldock, but Thame hit back before the break through Lynton Goss.

Holland completed his hat-trick to make it 4-2 and, despite Goss replying, the visitors could not find an equaliser.
