STRIKES from Darius Browne and George Jeacock either side of half-time gave Banbury United a 2-0 victory at Oxfordshire rivals North Leigh last night.
Browne fired Mike Ford’s side ahead in the opening period of their Evo-Stik Southern League Challenge Cup second-round clash
with a cross-shot from the edge of the penalty area.
Substitute Jeacock then made the result safe with a well-taken goal after the break to give the Puritans bragging rights and put them into the last 16 of the competition.
Kidlington will attempt to join Banbury when they entertain Aylesbury United tonight.
