BANBURY secured second place in Division 1 of the Serious Cricket Home Counties Premier League after a three-wicket victory over Slough on the last day of the season.
They jumped above Henley, who lost to High Wycombe.
Banbury elected to field and captain Luke Ryan took 3-25 as Slough made 167-8.
In reply, openers Hugo Darby (33) and Tom Bartlett put on 22 for the first wicket, before the latter was dismissed.
A second-wicket partnership of 62 between Darby and Lloyd Sabin (33) put Banbury in control on 84-1.
When they fell, Banbury were 110-3, but Richard West (47no) steered Banbury towards victory, despite wickets falling around him.
West and Ryan, who hit a quickfire 18 off 17 balls, led the hosts to victory with just under five overs to spare.
