JEFFERSON Louis gave Banbury United the perfect start as they won 2-0 at Dorchester.

After a run of five defeats, this was a second win in a row for Mike Ford’s men, who move up to eighth in the Premier Division table.

They took the lead in the fourth minute.

From a Tom Winters corner, Louis found space on the edge of the six-yard box to head home.

Both sides had problems with the strong wind and there were no further chances in a quiet first half, with Dorchester snuffing out the Louis threat.

However, just 25 seconds into the second half, the striker blasted over from just outside the penalty area

Then Louis was put through by Conor McDonagh, but home keeper Chad Collins came out to make a smothering save.

The all-important second goal came in the 67th minute.

Ravi Shamsi got on to the end of a long ball and fired in a low shot from 12 yards.

Thanks to a strong defenseive display from the visitors, keeper Jack Harding had little to do.

However, he should have been beaten seven minutes from time, but Sam Lanahan headed a corner inches wide from close range.
