BANBURY United opened up a two-point lead at the top of the Division 1 South & West table after beating AFC Totton 3-0 at home.
Goals from Ricky Johnson, Felipe Barcelos and Darius Browne secured the victory, with nearest rivals Cinderford Town – who played one of their games in hand on Tuesday night – drawing with North Leigh.
Banbury started well in the Evo-Stik Southern League clash, with Barcelos seeing an effort cleared off the line.
Midway through the half Jack Westbrook saw a shot cleared off the line, but the pressure took its toll on 41 minutes.
After a short corner, Charlie Wise hit a post and Mark Bell was foiled by keeper Victor Silvestre, but Johnson was on hand to fire home the loose ball.
Barcelos slotted home on 54 minutes to make it 2-0.
Banbury put the game to bed on 76 minutes when Browne found the top corner from 25 yards.
Mike Ford's side visit Yate Town on Saturday.
