DURAN Martin’s double helped Banbury United beat Slimbridge 3-1 to go nine Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West games unbeaten.
After Leam Howards hit a post, Zac McEachran knocked in the rebound for a ninth-minute lead.
And it was 2-0 on 14 minutes when Martin found the corner.
The Puritans made the game safe with ten minutes to go, when Martin drove home, before Paul Fahy scored from the spot.
Banbury Utd: Harding, White, Welch-Hayes, Martin, Westbrook, Gunn, McEach- ran, Nash (Stanbridge 82), Johnson (Joyce 75), Howards, Browne (Bell 68).
Subs not used: Wise, Steedman.
It followed a 2-1 midweek win at home to Marlow.
Andy Gunn headed Mike Ford’s side in front on 57 minutes from a Mark Bell free-kick.
The lead lasted just four minutes, when Chris Ovenden equalised from close range, but Callum White won the game with a powerful shot 13 minutes from time.
Banbury will attempt to extend their unbeaten league run into double figures on Saturday, when they travel to Shortwood United.
