BANBURY United have a full-strength squad available as they look to continue their perfect start when they host Frome Town tomorrow in Evo-Stik South Premier.

Boss Mike Ford is encouraging his side to enjoy the limelight and build on a superb opening month.

“We are top for a reason, and we can’t be scared of our situation,” he said.

“That said, I know Frome will not lie down. They will be keen to be the first side to beat us, and we’ll have to deal with what they throw at us.”

Banbury came from behind last week to beat Tiverton in the FA Cup, but Ford was not impressed with their opening.

He said: “Our performance against Tiverton was very average in the first half, and it was only our second half display that won us the game.

“We cannot afford to go behind to kick-start us. Frome are a good, experienced side, and will see us as a huge scalp. They will have all the incentive to beat the leaders.”

He added: “I have lots of players in form and playing well.

“I have some tough choices to make regarding the make-up of the team as to who is going to start.

“But that’s where I am with my group of players at the moment.

“I see this as a fantastic opportunity to keep the run going and get another win.”

In the West Division, North Leigh entertain Barnstaple Town, with boss John Brough warning his side to defend better or face being left out.

“We are scoring plenty of goals, but we’re conceding far too many,” he said.

“The players need to start learning from their mistakes, because we are shooting ourselves in the foot too often.

“Something has to change or personnel may need to alter.”

North Leigh found themselves 3-0 down at Biggleswade in midweek, before losing 3-2 after a promising fight-back.

Brough said: “We didn’t play well for long periods, but heads didn’t go down. We scored two goals and had a chance to force extra-time.

“But on reflection, we didn’t deserve anything, we’re just letting in too many.”

North Leigh will be without Ryan Paddick, Sean Wood and Sam Mattick, but Conor Waldon and Ed Stevens return.

Striker Roger James has left the Millers to join Kidlington and is set to make his debut against table-topping Taunton Town.

Julian McCalmon’s side go into the game on the back of a 6-1 FA Cup win over St Margaretsbury.

But the Kidlington boss is fully aware his side will face a very different challenge this week.

“Taunton are one of the best teams in the league and it will be a big test,” McCalmon said.

“But you have to play them some time, so why not now?

“We have a good squad and want to show what we are capable of.”

Defender Tom Franklin returns from suspension, but is a doubt with a toe injury.

Declan Benjamin and Eddie Odhiambo are back in contention, but Lance Williams (hamstring) and Elliott Osborne-Ricketts (suspension) are out.

Didcot Town boss Andy Ballard is backing his side to bounce back from last weekend’s FA Cup defeat when they travel to Cinderford Town tomorrow.

Didcot lost 5-0 at big-spending Billericay in a game streamed live on the BBC’s digital platforms and watched by 79,000 people.

“I was disappointed with our second-half performance, when we stopped doing the good things we had done in the first half,” he said.

“But we’ve been very positive in training and hopefully can continue our good league form tomorrow.”

Sam Barder misses the trip due to work commitments for an otherwise unchanged squad.

In the East Division, Thame United will bid to bounce back from last week’s shock FA Cup defeat at Baldock when they travel to Arlesey Town.
