A SUPERB seven-wicket spell from off-spinner Richard West secured Banbury a 36-run victory at home to Harefield.
Australian Kurtis Patterson struck 84 off 109 balls with nine fours as the hosts made 228-8 dec from 63 overs.
He was supported by innings of 40 from both Hugo Darby and Luke Ryan, whose 29-ball knock added a much-needed acceleration to the innings.
A magnificent 106 from opener Jack Shiel put Harefield in sight of a shock victory at 154-3.
But West turned the game in dramatic style taking 7-53 from 11.3 overs as the visitors lost their last eight wickets for just 38 runs to be all out for 192.
