ANDY Gunn’s late header earned Banbury United a thrilling 3-3 draw at Cinderford Town in Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West.

The Puritans have taken eight points from their first five games.

Ethan Moore’s lob put the hosts ahead after just four minutes, but Mark Bell was on hand to level midway through the first half.

Banbury keeper Jack Harding denied Kieron Davey, while Nic Evangelinos went close for the visitors, but Alex Harris pulled off a brilliant one-handed stop.

However, Banbury went 2-1 behind when Moore scored his second of the game, tapping home a Garyn Preen cross, and the Cinderford man went onto complete his hat-trick from the penalty spot.

Mike Ford’s men refused to give up and Leam Howards rounded Harris, before Gunn struck at the death to salvage a point for the Puritans.
