Hargreaves is Gulls boss

Former Oxford United midfielder Chris Hargreaves has been appointed Torquay United’s new manager following Alan Knill’s sacking.

The 41-year-old, who was first-team coach at Bournemouth, will bring the Gulls to Oxford on Saturday, January 25.

Why are we being told about the managerial appointment of one of the worst midfielders to ever wear an Oxford United shirt? The man had heart, I'll give him that, but absolutely no talent whatsoever. He couldn't pass, his first touch was atrocious & his tackling not much better. Amazingly this waste of space was the team captain - no wonder we got relegated that season with him wearing the captain's armband.

Hopefully his appointment as manager of Torquay will have the same consequence as his appointment as captain here.

Obviously so useless that he played well over 600 league games so plenty of managers thought he was good enough. Which suggests to me that you don't know what you are talking about.
