WILL Goodman creamed an unbeaten 126 for promoted Tiddington, and so became the fifth different batsman to take a ton off Bledlow Village this year.

He was well supported by Will Cooper (62) as the visitors amassed 257-5, their highest total of the summer.

Bledlow’s innings was curtailed by rain, but they managed 224-8 from the 31 overs available, during which Manoj Parmar plundered 88 and Matt Johnston took 4-57.

Challow & Childrey’s sixth loss in a row gave clues about why they are going down.

Their decision to field first backfired when they could not stop Cropredy reaching 232-5 through Ed Somerton (87), Michael Amos-Simpson (45) and Mitchell Darville (35).

Joe Harris was the pick of the home attack, taking 4-51, and then top scored with 45. But Harry Walters (3-15), Amos-Simpson (3-33) and Jamie Jennings (3-41) bowled out Challow for 159.

Dan Matthews (72), Thomas Condon (67) and Thaddeus Cooper (38) took Aston Rowant 2nd to 253-9 at home to Abingdon Vale. Left-arm spinner Paul White’s three wickets cost him 84 runs.

Vale have only managed more than 220 once during 2013, and the loss of 18 overs to rain reduced their chances further.

So they settled for a draw on 126-8 after David Dyer had hit 39, Tim Foster had taken 4-67 and Paul Humphreys picked up 3-51.

Adam Cook took 4-62 and Ali Morteza 3-41 for champions Cumnor, but Bletchley Town still reached a decent 200. The visitors were five without loss in the third over when rain stopped play.

Pablo Mukherjee (48) and Jon Guthrie (31) helped Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts reach 189-9 from their 53 overs after they had elected to bat at Wolverton Town.

However, the day belonged to Town who got home on 190-4.
