DIVISIONS 6-10

NIGEL Bint returned to competitive cricket after 15 years to take eight wickets and score an unbeaten 30 in Didcot 4th’s Division 10 win over Challow & Childrey 3rd by 106 runs.

Ross Coles hit his debut half-century with a knock of 60 as Didcot put on 215, before Bint’s 8-50 saw Challow bowled out for just 109.

Shipton-under-Wychwood 4th fell short of the title despite a seven-wicket victory over Bicester & North Oxford 3rd, bowling their rivals out for 42. They reached their target in 11 overs.

Long Marston 3rd’s draw against Stokenchurch 2nd was enough to take the title by just four points.

In Division 6, Banbury 4th fell to a 160-run defeat to Bledlow Ridge 2nd thanks to Rob Hawkins who hit 137. Banbury slumped to 91 all out.

East Oxford 2nd took the Division 7 title as they drew with Great & Little Tew 3rd, while Long Marston 2nd lost by 96 runs to Cublington 2nd.

Phil Evans’s final game for Abingdon Vale 3rd saw him hit 71 not out to help beat Bletchley Town 2nd by seven wickets.

But their triumph was short-lived as Oxford Downs 3rd forfeited their match against Buckingham 3rd, leaving Vale in the drop zone.

Andy Parker hit an unbeaten 106 as Horley 2nd made 213-5 but their efforts were foiled by Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts 3rd who managed 150-5, including a 64 from Andy Haynes.
