Seems Wilder has lost the plot completely?

What?! Seriously, Wilder has completely lost it! Perhaps Wilder should look at himself as the reason why players like Chapman have failed to reach their full potential.

Chapman has been poor this season and this from a player who held out for more money. Sad to see him go in some ways but from a purely football perspective it makes complete sense.

When a player who is clearly as talented as Chappers plays badly, I and everyone else should be questioning the manager and the coaching staff.

No, you should be questioning the player. Talent is one thing, attitude, intelligence and application are another.

I'm disappointed to see Chapman leave - he clearly has got ability but his form this year hasn't been great. I'm concerned about what on earth is going on at the football club currently; are we beginning to clear out for next season or are we meandering on until the mathematical possibility of play-offs disappears? Are we building a squad, re-building a squad or returning to the conference days of loaning (too many) players?
The deafening silence from the football club simply allows unhelpful rumours to circulate. I hope Mr Lenaghan will help to clarify things quickly.

I agree he has been poor this season, and I wouldnt personally choose him to be in the squad next season.

I do question the timing slightly though, we are struggling for fit centre mid players (hence playing capaldi in the centre).

I think we need a complete overhaul in centre mid for next season. Montrose and Heslop are not up to it, and i would question as to whether Leven shows value for money for the amount of games he actually gets to play.

Hopefully this makes a space for a decent loan for the final 11 games.

Chapman goes and we keep Heslop (and Wilder) - ughh!! Nobody wants either of them

Rumour is another ex-yellow who Wilder previously bombed out is on his way back...

In the summer we limit signings because we want to invest in improving the squads fitness ??? - - - Hows that working out for us ??? - - - How long is that injuy list now ???

We bring in Scott Davies because "We needed cover in that position" and then let chappers go out on loan ???

When will someone be answerable to this rubbish they keep feeding us .....To think I try my best to defend the current managment tam when all around me slate them

Thank god for small mercies! Now we have only 3 central midfielders available. Whing (coming back from inury), Davies (lacking match fitness) and Heslop (sort of fit but useless)....gone now surely are the days of 433. Hooray. I reckon CW will play 7-2-1 Sat as Torquay may have premiership players as well as championship ones we don't know about... :-)

Doubtless he will be back to haunt us and Mansfield will probably let him be the player he once appeared to be, I always say you can't coach talent in to a player but you can coach it out, talent is something that is natural, poor coaching can have a negative effect on it. Need I say more!

Ps. I wasn't suggesting Chapman had talent in spades just that he once looked half decent but sadly that was a few seasons ago back in the BSP

Chappers looked to some talent. What happened? Worley has shown prescence but never gets a chance. What happened to Luke Foster, a good player, went on to do much better elsewhere. I've always thought that our problem in the past....Kassam, a new manager every year, we needed some stability, now it might be time for a reevaluation of the management structure.

Chapman to Mansfield, I can see it coming, Promotion and a return to Oxford to score a winner from a free kick. Good luck to him, I hope he does well there. Worley might follow him too. I don't know whats going on, but when players who show potential are loaned? frozen out I'm starting to think about paying my money elsewhere..... Whatever happened to Luke Foster, another one "not good enough"......oh dear.

All comes from the Port Vale match i reckon, taken off just before half time. He looked pretty p***** about it. Reckon they fell out.

I have always been prepared to give Chris Wilder and Co. time to get the formula right. However, with no real progress now in 3 sasons, it seems we really do need to act and have a change at the top at the end of this season. It would be foolish not to recognise that Chis has been a little unlucky with some of the things thrown his way this season - a huge injury problem and a suspect pitch (Much less important than the injuries), but that all goes with the territory of football management I'm afraid.

Some of his signings have been very poor indeed. His tactical inconsistancy and team selection has been worrying. We hear from him regularly about the great entertaining and attacking football we are trying to play - yet I can count on 1 hand the games that I have witnessed in the last 3 years when we have played good football and looked like a 'team' that were really moving forward and progressing.

It appears from top to bottom that our club is now in a bit of a mess. Problems securing a proper financialy viable working business relationship with our ex-chairman and landlord, an owner who seems just to be letting things role along without any clear vision as to how we are going to take the club forward in the long term, inept management and coaching, and a very dissillusioned fan base, who, without a shadow of a doubt, will vote with their feet next season unless a positive vision and direction to take us forward can be communicated to the fans.

Should the Chairman decide to act and go for a change in management, then I would like to see Chris Hargreaves considered for a management or coaching role at the club. Don't care what Westley did at Preston NE. His record is great at this level. Nothing puts bums on seats more than a winning side. Buckle is decent in my opinion and would steady the ship at the very least.

Eyes down, look in and we will see what the next couple of months will bring ....................

Football pitch is no better for our opponents - (many of whom have got plenty of the standard 3 points available) . In fact , an unusual pitch must be a help to a team which plays on it regularly (as was the case with sloping pitches) . Despite the advantage of knowing the pitch better than their opponents . CWs team has done very poorly .

Chris Hargreaves - United's answer to Wyscum's lookalike Gareth Ainsworth? One of many many possible big improvements to Wilder (do you remember his regular sniping on RO at disgruntled fans during our slide from top place to third in our play off winning season?)

I agree with so many of the comments.
Wilder has really lost the plot.
He lets Chapman go who deserved to stay and keeps the likes of Heslop (why ?); plays Capaldi in midfield (who he signed as a left back); signs Montrose who looks poor....And thats the midfield !!
He plays Smalley (OMG !!) and now seems to want to ignore Constable and top scorer Craddock. We lose Craddock for all of last season and now he can't get a game !
Tommy Craddock will be the next to go...what a waste..
